How to create a telegram bot and get its ID and Token

Step-by-Step Guide: Setting Up a Telegram Bot with BotFather for Seamless cTrader Alerts

Create a new Telegram bot with BotFather:

1. First and most important step of ALL. Install cTrader from the cTrader website and NOT any other version provided by any broker, because those only cause problems. Here is the link for the official and most up to date cTrader: https://ctrader.com/download/

2. Start a new conversation with the BotFather.

3. Send /newbot to create a new Telegram bot.

4. When asked, enter a name for the bot.

5. Give the Telegram bot a unique username. Note that the bot name must end with the word "bot" (case-insensitive).

6. Copy and save the Telegram bot's access token for later steps.

7. Go to your bot by clicking the link in the final message.

8. Send Some text to your new bot (anything).

9. Click here to get your Telegram chat ID.

10. Now place your Token and ID on the Indicator/cBot and you will receive Telegram alerts.

Common issue:

The Indicator/Bot does not send any telegram alerts

Possible solutions:

1. Disable your Antivirus/Firewall and try again. They can sometimes block the communication with the internet.

2. Check if the ID and Token are correct, even white spaces cause problems.

3. Restart cTrader.

4. Check the parameters of the cBot/Indicator
